Corona Virus poetry

Hi Folks

Away from the familiar setting of our Church, I’ve been finding it quite difficult to achieve a full focus on the Sunday service, so I’ve been starting with some music on YouTube. Here are some suggestions for anyone who wants to try doing the same. You do have to be patient and fight your way through whatever adverts get thrown at you though.

The first five are all basically Church choral music but the rest are more varied. I am sure there are many more in areas of music about which I’m ignorant so perhaps other people might like to offer their suggestions?

 (Barber’s Agnus Dei)

(Lotti Crucifixus)

(Canto Gregorian para oracao - in Latin, over an hour)

(Bach, Jesus bleibet meine Freude - Jesu Joy of my desire)

(Faure’s Requiem - Pie Jesu)

(The Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughn Williams, violin with video of rural scenes)

(Arvo Part’s Spiegel im Spiegel)

(Simon and Garfunkel - Bridge over troubled Water)

(Chopin Nocturne Opus 9 No. 1)

(The sound of the sea)

I’m amazed at what you can find, free, on YouTube these days!!

Love to all, Alison
